The hotel was built in 2013 and (at this time) is brand new. The Fairfield Inn & Suites Downtown is located in the heart of downtown Tulsa, OK. I’ll be stopping in anytime I’m in the downtown area. Be sure to ask about the Okie Tonic, the most talked about (and impossible to find) drink in town. Other seating is offered at standard tables and bar. The cafe features a single couch and chair. I would have preferred to see more comfy couches to sit on.Coffee comes piping hot in a glass beaker for about $2 per cup.The location is excellent and is surrounded by music venues, hotels, restaurants and hotels.Comfy seating, fast wifi and cool music can all be found here. I wanted to try their “Okie Tonic” which was highly recommended but they were sold out. The staff is cool, the coffee is strong and some coffees are served in beakers. Yes! This is probably my favorite place to have a coffee in the city. I visited several times during my stay at the Fairfield Inn which is located just a block away. The Chimera Cafe in Tulsa Oklahoma is a modern coffee shop cafe on Main street near Cain’s Ballroom. The conditions in the Cherry Street location in Tulsa, OK were so bad that I was poisoned by one of their dishes and sick for hours. When in fact there is more sodium in a single meal that a healthy eater would eat in 2 days. Unfortunately it is another example of companies using words like “Fit” to lead customers to believe they are eating healthy foods. Sodium Bombs! Some dishes had 300-600 grams of sodium, making them inedible for someone interested in losing weight or eating healthy.The pork meal gave me food poisoning and I spent hours sick in my hotel room after eating it.
Some of my favorite foods were available including chicken, broccoli and egg whites.The store staff was friendly and helpful.Much faster than cooking a meal from scratch. The prepackaged food is easy to buy and reheat in a microwave.I was initially very excited to find it then upon closer inspection of the Nutrition Facts and experiencing food poisoning I changed my mind. At first glance this place is a convenient place to pick up quick and healthy meals. Unfortunately the “healthy” food is extraordinarily high in sodium and I got food poisoning.
I bought more than 10 prepackaged meals over a 2-4 day period.
My Fit Foods was recommended to me as a place to get “healthy” food during my stay in town. The restaurant offers small microwavable meals. My Fit Foods is located in the Cherry Street area of Tulsa, OK.
